Clinical Professor Goh Chee Leok completed his tertiary education in the University of Singapore. He graduated in 1974 with his medical degree.
He is currently a Senior Consultant Dermatologist at the National Skin Centre and Clinical Professoressor of the Faculty of Medicine of the National University of Singapore.
He obtained his postgraduate degree in internal medicine in 1978. He was appointed Medical Director of the National Skin Centre in 1990 till March 2004. Professor Goh is the Chairman of the Specialist Training Committee for dermatology of the Academy of Medicine Singapore. He is also the Chairman of the Pharmacovigilance Advisory Committee of the Health Science Authority of the Ministry of Health.
Professor Goh also has a MD degree in medicine (Singapore), which he obtained in 1994. His special interests are in Contact and Occupational Dermatitis, and also in Dermatological and Laser Surgery and IT in medicine. Professoressor Goh was awarded the Public Administration Medal (Gold) in 2003) and the Public Service Medal in 2006 by the President of the Republic of Singapore for his contributions to Singapore.
He is a member of the International Contact Dermatitis Research Group. He was past president of the Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery of Singapore and also past president of the Environmental and Occupational Dermatology Society of Singapore.
He was a member of the international editorial boards of the J of the America Academy of Dermatology and Contact Dermatitis and past international editorial board member of the Archives of Dermatology. He has published more than 250 scientific papers in peer review journals and chapter contributor to numerous dermatology reference books and editor of several reference dermatology books including a recent color atlas "Asian Skin – A Reference Color Atlas of Dermatology". He also co-edit several public education booklets on common skin diseases including Eczema, Acne and Skin Rejuvenation.
