Please note that our workshops are virtual workshops.

For virtual workshops, the MCQ exam will be conducted on a different date from the workshops.  Please refer to the programme for the date, time and venue of the MCQ exams.

For in-person workshops, the MCQ exam will be conducted at the end of the workshops on the same day.

Workflow for ADEG virtual COC(AVCOC) workshops for Aesthetic Dermatology

 

A. Registration to participate in proposed ADEG Virtual COC (AVCOC) workshop:

 

  • ADEG set date/time/topic for AVCOC workshop.

  • ADEG announce AVCOC in ADEG website and open the worskhop for registration and payment.

  • All registration and communications between participants and ADEG will be conducted digitally except attending the MCQ exam which will be conducted on a separate date in another venue face to face (as stipulated by SMC).

  •  

  • Please make sure that you will be able to attend the workshops and MCQ examinations on the stipulated dates (displayed in the programme) before you make your payment and confirm your registration.  A fee of $20 will be levied for rescheduling of missed MCQ exam date/time 

  • If you miss your scheduled exam, it may take some time before a repeat exam will be conducted and you may not be accredited any COC.

  •  

  • Only SMC registered doctors are allowed to register.

  • The number of participants in each workshop is limited. Places will be assigned on a first come first serve basis. Successful applicants will be notified once the registration is closed.

 

  • Payment of Registration Fee should be done through PayNow to UEN ID 200613538E (AESTHETIC DERMATOLOGY EDUCATIONAL GROUP). Remember to fill your full name and month that you will be attending the workshop (e.g. JAN or FEB) in the Bill Reference No. box of the PayNow screen. Only registrants who have made full payment will receive confirmation of their registration.

 

B. About 3 days prior to the AVCOC workshop:

  • The workshop lecture notes and the workshop link, meeting ID and passcode will be sent to registered participants via email. Procedural instructions of AVCOC will be sent to registrants via email.

  • Lecture notes and relevant teaching materials will be sent via links or email to registered/paid participants.

 

C. How AVCOC workshops will be conducted?

  • AVCOC workshop will be conducted real time on the assigned day and time of the workshop but the teaching will be conducted remotely virtually. It will be conducted through the Zoom digital communication system. You will need to have access to a computer or handphone with internet wifi connections with the Zoom app installed.

  • ADEG teaching faculties will be stationed at their respective office.

  • Participants will be stationed at their respective office/home/facilities.

  • Participants will have to log into the AVCOC workshop using the meeting ID and passcode sent to them earlier.

  • Please do not leave the e-workshop as your presence will be recorded by the system.

  • ADEG teaching faculties will conduct their lecture at the appointed time based on the teaching programme for the respective workshop.

  • An interactive Q&A is available real time during the workshop lectures and video demonstration. There will be a Q&A icon for participants to ask questions. The lecturers can then respond verbally immediately.

  • After the series of lectures, a video demonstration will be displayed with running commentary by the ADEG teaching faculty.

  • The AVCOC workshop will end upon the completion of the video. You may then log out by clicking on the icon “leaving” on the computer screen.

 

D. MCQ Examination

    1. will be informed of the date and time and venue for the MCQ examinations. This will usually take place about 6-14 days after each AVCOC workshop, at a venue to be confirmed. The answer scripts will be returned to ADEG for marking and those who passed the examination will be notified a few days later. Those who failed will be required to resit the examination and must pass the exam within 12 months of their workshop that they attended.

E. Award of Certificate of Attendance

  • Participants who passed the MCQ exams and who have completed the full virtual workshop will be awarded the ADEG certificate of attendance. This certificate is accredited by SMC APOC as COC. You must attend at least 80% of lectures time and 80% of the video and/or live demonstration in order to get your certificate of attendance accredited for SMC COC.

**Our workshops are accreditated by SMC Aesthetic Practice Oversight Committee as Certificate of Competence.**

 

F.  Cancellation Fees: The following cancellation and refund policies will apply:

Cancellation must be made in writing.


a) Cancellation requests received more than 4 weeks  before the course - $20 per workshop fees 
b) Cancellation requests received between 1 to 4 weeks before the course - 20% of workshop fees
c) Cancellation requests received 6 days before the course -50%

d) 1 day before the course or No Show - 100% of workshop fees
e)  Rescheduling of exam date due to failure to take the exam -  $30

f) Replacement class and MCQ exam if fail to meet CoC Requirements - $170

 

 

 

All changes, cancellations must be made in writing to the ADEG Secretariate via email to adeg.sec@gmail.com.      Reinstating of registration is not permitted after cancellation. You will need to register again. If you cancel and are entitled to a refund after deducting cancellation fees.  Expect a refund within 30 days post workshop date.

 

Bank charges, if any  will be borne by the registrants for all refunds net of  cancellation or substitution fees, where applicable
