  • ADEG set date/time/topic for AVCOC workshop.

  • ADEG announce AVCOC in ADEG website and open the worskhop for registration and payment.

  • All registration and communications between participants and ADEG will be conducted digitally except attending the MCQ exam which will be conducted on a separate date in another venue face to face (as stipulated by SMC).

  • Only SMC registered doctors are allowed to register.

  • The number of participants in each workshop is fixed at 30.  Places will be assigned on a first come first serve basis.  Successful applicants will be notified once the registration is closed.

  •

B.  About 3 days prior to the AVCOC workshop:

  • The workshop lecture notes and the workshop link, meeting ID and passcode will be sent to registered participants via email. Procedural instructions of AVCOC will be sent to registrants via email.

  • Lecture notes and relevant teaching materials will be sent via links or email to registered participants.

C.  How AVCOC workshops will be conducted?

  • AVCOC workshop will be conducted real time on the assigned day and time of the workshop but the teaching will be conducted remotely virtually.  It will be conducted through the Zoom digital communication system. You will need to have access to a computer or handphone with internet wifi connections with the Zoom app installed.

  • ADEG teaching faculties will be stationed at their respective office.

  • Participants will be stationed at their respective office/home/facilities.

  • Participants will have to log into the AVCOC workshop using the meeting ID and passcode sent to them earlier.

  • Please do not leave the e-workshop as your presence will be recorded by the system.

  • ADEG teaching faculties will conduct their lecture at the appointed time based on the teaching programme for the respective workshop.

  • An interactive Q&A is available real time during the workshop lectures and video demonstration.  There will be a Q&A icon for participants to ask questions.  The lecturers can then respond verbally immediately.

  • After the series of lectures, a video demonstration will be displayed with running commentary by the ADEG teaching faculty.

  • The AVCOC workshop will end upon the completion of the video.  You may then log out by clicking on the icon “leaving” on the computer screen.

D.  MCQ Examination

  • After the AVCOC workshop, participants will be informed of the date and time and venue for the MCQ examinations.  Each group sitting the examination will not be more than 4 doctors (MOH social distancing requirements).   The answer scripts will be returned to ADEG for marking and those who passed the examination will be notified a few days later.  Those who failed will be required to resit the examination and must pass the exam within 6 months of their workshop that they attended.

E.  Award of Certificate of Attendance
